"EVision" is a total solution that Isuzu has built to support the launch of its first mass-produced pure EV ("BEV"), the "ELF EV". It aims to promote carbon neutrality by providing support for the introduction of commercial BEVs, solving problems encountered at the time of introduction, quantifying the effect of CO2 emission reductions, and proposing further decarbonization solutions.
To date, ITOCHU has taken the following steps to address the various issues encountered when introducing EVs to the market:
◆ Development of a charging simulation service that can ensure both equipment operation and electricity cost optimization
◆ Participating in the funding of commercial EV leasing companies
◆ Conducting practical demonstrations of EV introduction and decarbonisation of office buildings
◆ Demonstration of the distribution of a small EV truck with a battery exchange
Remote diagnosis service for the ageing state of on-board lithium-ion batteries
ITOCHU is also working on decarbonization solutions in a wide range of fields related to electricity (electricity retail business, renewable energy generation business, energy management business, etc.), which are necessary for the introduction of EVs. Using the knowledge and experience we have accumulated to date, we will support Isuzu and other customers introducing ELF EVs in all aspects of "EVision".

In the future, ITOCHU will use its knowledge and experience in the battery business to further develop the use of ELF EV-loaded batteries and the establishment of a battery ecosystem. The demand for electrification in the logistics sector is increasing in order to achieve a carbon-neutral society. Against this backdrop, Isuzu EVision will address the various issues associated with the introduction of commercial Be, and provide safe and secure services.
